If you have leg, knee, ankle or foot pain, this appointment is for you.

At our Upper Mount Gravatt and Newmarket Clinics, your comprehensive assessment includes a detailed, computer assisted, assessment of your walking (and/or running style) using a specialised treadmill featuring pressure sensors and slow motion cameras.

A trial is usually commenced, during the initial consultation, to help establish the diagnosis and best management options. Your Podiatrist may also refer you for imaging (e.g. Xray or Ultrasound scan).

We then work with you, to develop a treatment plan designed to help you return to an active, pain-free lifestyle.

  • This appointment is eligible for Private Health Fund Rebates. Your rebate amount depends on your level of cover.

What to expect,
at your first appointment.

Medical History Review | Your Podiatrist will ask you questions to clarify your current issues and establish individualised treatment goals.
Current Footwear & Prescription Analysis | Your podiatrist will review your current footwear, as well as any existing prescriptions or off-the-shelf devices, such as orthotics.
Biomechanical Assessment | During a comprehensive Biomechanical Assessment, your Podiatrist will analyse the way your joints and muscles move together while you sit, stand and move.
Video gait (Movement) Analysis | Using innovative video technology*, your Podiatrist will observe your walking and/or running in slow motion to help accurately identify the cause of your pain.
Effective Treatment Plan | We'll discuss your diagnosis and treatment options, including recommendations for follow-up appointments to monitor the progress towards your goals.
