Evelyn (Evie) Travis

Senior Podiatrist

I recall having sore arches as a child, which resulted in me not anting to walk long distances and constantly thinking about my feet. This led me to study Podiatry, where I gained a knowledge of the effects that Foot posture and footwear can have on our physical health and on our state of mind.

During my Podiatry career, I have gained such satisfaction in helping clients understand their posture and how to have a positive effect on their bodies movement, with correctly fitting, supportive footwear and ensuring that their foot health is of the highest standard.

Foot health can be severely affected by toenails that are ingrown or curved resulting in acute or chronic pain. Following my sister enduring a lifelong experience of aesthetically displeasing toenails, due to ingrown toenails as a child, I became trained in Nail bracing, which is now my specialty. I enjoy offering this conservative treatment option for ingrown or involuted nails. Nail bracing is gentle, Long term treatment that gradually reduces the curvature of the nail, so that it can be clear of the nail fold.

  • I have always been very active and loved sport, including tennis and running!

  • I completed my Bachelor of Podiatry at the Queensland University of Technology in 2005.

I have also been a Tutor at The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) from 2014 - present.

In 2006, I became trained in Nail bracing - which is now my specialty. I really enjoy offering this conservative treatment option for Ingrown or Involuted nails.
