Gemma Brown

Senior Podiatrist

I developed an interest in podiatry through caring for my feet as a dancer. I found myself needing podiatry care from a young age.

I graduated in 2016 from the University of Newcastle and moved to Brisbane to start my career.

Outside of work I enjoy spending quality time with my partner and daughter, travelling, exploring the greater Brisbane area and camping.

Gemma is currently on Maternity leave

  • I have enjoyed various sports over the years both social and representative and have 21 years experience in the dance community, as a dancer and dance teacher.

I currently like to spend my active hours hiking trails, running for fitness and working on my strength at the gym.

    • Foot and leg pain

    • Children’s Podiatry

  • I have broad interests across podiatry, and I have worked extensively with some of Brisbane’s top orthopaedic surgeons with post-operative care and preemptive treatments.

I am passionate about diabetic and high-risk feet and preventative care.

I’m also enthusiastic about ingrown nail prevention and enjoy performing nail surgeries.

Given my history as a dancer, I am also really passionate about dancer’s foot health and injury prevention and rehabilitation.

  • I also provide Podiatry care at home, and in aged care facilities, for clients unable to attend a clinic.
