I grew up playing a lot of sport, and came to appreciate at an early age how Podiatrists keep people moving and achieving their life and sports goals. This early contact with the profession inspired me to become a Podiatrist, and I now love seeing how treatments I provide enable my clients to get back to the activities they love.
I’m a keen traveler, and outside of work I also enjoy Pilates and play social netball. On the weekends, I often travels to the beach and enjoy reading a good book.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
In this ever evolving world of Podiatry, I am constantly engaged in learning new treatments and techniques. Whilst I have a special interest in paediatric podiatry, I also enjoys treating musculoskeletal and sporting injuries, and regularly attend workshops to further enhance my knowledge and skills in these areas.
I am an active member of the Australian Podiatry Association and have also completed a Dry Needling and Foot Mobilisation course, using these technique when required in my treatment regimes.
Before graduating from Queensland University of Technology in 2012, I worked in running shoe stores and consider this invaluable experience. I have worked for 7 years as a Podiatrist in Gladstone and Brisbane in Podiatry Clinics specialising in athletic and comfort footwear.
This year I will enroll on the Australian Podiatry Association Specialist Sports Podiatrist Program and Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine to continue the development of my skills in Sports Podiatry.
