About me

I have always loved running. As a junior middle distance and cross country runner I competed at the national titles and went on junior altitude training camps. I was lucky enough to train with runners that progressed to the World Juniors, Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.

As a result, I developed a keen interest in the biomechanics of running. I realised that a career in Podiatry would enable me to help runners, and others, keep active and achieve their full potential.

HOW I KEEP ACTIVE

Staying active has always been a very important part of my life. I still enjoy running and participating in social triathlons and fun runs.

I enjoy daily walks and bike rides with my wife, Emma, and my young sons Leo and Toby. I’m also a keen surfer and enjoy fishing on my ocean kayak.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

I graduated from QUT in 2006 and initially pursued a job in rural northern NSW which gave me the opportunity to treat varied and complicated podiatry patients.

I established Foot Faults 10 years ago. Having experienced, first hand as a runner, how debilitating Foot and Leg pain can be, I wanted to create Podiatry clinics that specialised in Sports Podiatry.

I opened The Running Analysis Centre, at Foot Faults Mount Gravatt, in 2017. Here my expert team, and I, combine our advanced Podiatry skills with cutting-edge technology to assess running style and determine ways to help runners improve performance and reduce the risk of future injury. I work with a full range of runners including weekend warriors, Mum’s (run off their feet by their children), and many competitive runners including triathletes and Olympic contestants.

I am currently enrolled in the Australian Podiatry Association Specialist Sports Podiatrist Program and an active member of the Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.
