Cara first made her mark as a talented junior distance athlete at a national level, establishing herself early as a gutsy competitor before specializing in the gruelling 3000m steeplechase as a senior.

Since transitioning to the senior ranks, she secured a sports scholarship at the University of Queensland, has now won multiple national titles, and claimed a phenomenal gold medal at the 2023 World University Games. She is now an undisputed leader in Australian steeplechase whilst also being one of the most humble and friendly athletes going around.
